Report Shows Higher Than Average Retail Sales in Platte County
According to a recent survey from UNL Extension, Platte County has a higher ‘pull factor’ than ‘push factor’ when it comes to retail shopping–meaning, more people come into Platte County to shop than leave to shop elsewhere according to taxable retail sales reports.
As noted in the report, Columbus is a regional trade hub that provides ‘a full array of retail trade for the regional population.’ According to the report, Platte County had more than $418 million in retail sales last year.
