GENERAL FUNCTION/JOB RESPONSIBILIES

The general function of this job is to operate equipment to produce tubing.  Various tasks that will be assigned rotationally are: Welding, Bull Blocks, Sinks, Auto-Cut, Annealer  and other tasks as necessary.

Operators are responsible for meeting established production standards.  They are responsible for meeting the quality requirements of the product and operating within the policies and procedures of the Quality System.  Operators must be able to use microscopes, pin gages and other inspection devices as necessary.

These tasks involve lifting and handling material: rolls of tubing, tubs and cartridges of cannula.  The job requires being able to work on your feet.

Candidates for this job must be safety conscious and work safely especially when handling tubing and cut cannula.

Operators are required to do some basic maintenance as required to keep the machines running.  They are also required to use basic hand tools, ie allen wrenches, files, side cutters, crescent wrenches, etc.  Operators must be able to work with little supervision, able to work in a team environment, and have good mechanical skills.

Columbus Hydraulics Co., LLC is a manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders since 1952. As a leader in our industry, we strive for excellence in our products. With our current demand, we are putting together a weekend shift to help increase our capacity levels. Details are listed below:      

 

  • The days we would work on the weekend shift would vary depending on the candidate’s needs. We will look at the following options: Friday through Sunday: Saturday through Monday or just Part- Time on Saturday and Sunday

 

  • The shift hours will be from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm (12-hour shifts). If you work 36 hours with perfect attendance you will be paid for 40 hours.

 

  • The positions we will be looking to fill are as follows: CNC Operator, iron worker, burnisher, assembly, wire welding, submerged arc welding, and general production.

 

  • We intend to have this shift up and running by September 1st, 2017.
