Qualifications
•
Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values

High School diploma/GED required
•
Ability to become licensed operator (Radiation Safety & Security testing)
•
Ability to use SAP, MES, Scheduler, and Word & Excel documents
•
Also use other basic computer systems – Proficient
•
Written and Verbal communication skills – Proficient
•
Maintain accurate product identification, traceability, and Material status – Proficient
•
Work well with others (small team environment) – Proficient
•
Work effectively with only limited direct supervision and meet all work deadlines – Proficient
•
Organizational and task management skills – Proficient
•
Take initiative (see what needs to be done and then do it) – Basic
Responsibilities
•
Responsible for Scheduling product through the irradiator in the most efficient manner possible
•
Coordinates with shipping, Microbiology lab, and manufacturing departments to meet customer delivery requirements
•
This position utilizes various software programs such as SAP, MES, Scheduler, labeling, shipping, Concur, BuySmart, & dosimetry
•
Provides support to the department in the areas of training, document control, quality, and regulatory requirements
•
This position works in a small team environment, therefore performing other duties as necessary, such as, but not limited to, helping maximize department OEE, quality, & cleanliness, are part of this position
•
Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures
•
Performs all steps necessary to ensure correct scheduling sequence for irradiated product
•
Product from various customers will require different steps to accomplish this task
•
Utilize SAP, MES, Scheduler, and other basic programs
•
Communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing) with various levels of the organization (QC reps, planners, shipping, & management associates)
•
Process daily dosimetry releases
•
Maintain documentation as required by plant procedures (both quality & irradiator license related)
•
Manages the department purchasing card (Make purchases as necessary for department)
•
Helps ensure Cobalt Loading is performed in a safe & efficient manner
•
Review/correct month end production data
•
Occasional weekend scheduling support may be required
•
Departmental Housekeeping
•
Works in a safe manner and helps hold associates accountable for working safely
•
Provide direction to Sterilization Technicians based upon scheduling changes
•
Be crossed trained operating the research loop
•
Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
