Responsibilities
•
Send material to proper department to put in stock after receipt of receiving record form clerk
•
Material may be sent out before receipt of receiving record if it is needed immediately
•
Check in return goods orders in a manner similar to regular order
•
In addition, make sure that all return authorization labels are on material
•
Clerk is responsible for all activities related to receipt and warehousing of all purchased materials
•
Verify correctness of all freight bills and bill of lading information and notify proper personnel of any discrepancies
•
Assure that all purchased materials are properly counted and inspected for visible damage
•
Prepare all paperwork so that receiving record can be typed
•
Make out “shortage and/or damage” reports when necessary
•
Make periodic, accurate, ratio scale counts on raw materials to assure that we are receiving quantities for which we are billed
•
Clerk is responsible for good housekeeping, good manufacturing practices, and safety in all raw material warehouses
•
Use the computer to receive all raw materials for into SAP or MES
•
Assure all pallets are of the correct size and height to fit the appropriate racks
•
Print bar codes and place correct labels on pallets
•
Ensure all overnight packages are delivered to their destination by noon of each day
•
Prepare materials as suggested from Production Control Schedulers
•
Prepare and separate stock material for regional warehouse schedules
•
Maintain Safety Stock levels as required
•
Assist in filling orders by location material assist in moving materials form staging area and instruct available personnel to assist in moving product
•
Must be licensed in forklift operation
•
Review all transfer receipts from al production departments
•
Check all materials for accurate labeling, quantity, part number and descriptions
•
Must communicate with all quality assurance personnel to see that product certifications accompany all required shipments
•
Determine proper carries for Truckload, LTL (Less Than Truckload), Air and small parcel shipments
•
Must palletize when required, pack, corner, slop sheet and weigh all product for shipment and must instruct all available warehouse personnel to assist in this operation
•
Prepare shipping orders for all manufactured items
•
Must be able to perform all this duties using SAP
•
Must be able to perform other correspondence related to the shipping order
•
Must be able to communicate with all corporate personnel in the international scheduling and movement of product
•
Assist in the preparation of commercial invoices for international product
•
Follow all corporate directives in the selection of carries for the movement of international product
•
Must be versed on the movement of all hazardous items used by this company and be able to package, label and create a hazardous document that will accurately portray this item
•
Keep a log or freight sheet record of all shipments
•
Perform all duties as required by the department coordinator
•
Assume responsibility of the department under the direction of the Material Control Manager during the absence of the department coordinator
•
Must maintain and order operating supplies
•
Must work with earthkeeping warehouse in the movement of recycle product to vendors
•
Assist in Inventory Process
•
If an Associate in this position has job specific duties that involve receiving/delivery/handling of hazardous material and/or the shipping/handling of hazardous materials or wastes, the Associate will complete an annual ‘Hazardous Materials Handlers’ training that includes hazard and regulatory information for those job specific activities
•
Check in all purchased materials to make sure all weights, quantities and qualifies are exactly as stated on the packing list
•
If there is no packing list, make out a complete list of all goods received with all other pertinent information
