Job Purpose and Position Overview:
This position contributes to the success of BigIron, by overseeing company vehicles available for use by the Sales Team. The Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection while scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency, among other duties. In addition, the employee contributes to the success of BigIron through ongoing collaboration with peers, co-workers, supervisors, managers, vendors, clients, and others who do business with BigIron.
Essential Functions:
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Company’s mission, vision, and core values
  • Review vehicle requisitions from employees and assist in purchasing and maintaining vehicles for delivery
  • Register and license all vehicles under their management
  • Maintain and share inventory information with financial managers and Human Resources
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection
  • Complying with U.S. Department of Transportation laws and regulations
  • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules
  • Analyze data to increase business operational efficiency
  • Utilize InTouch GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft
  • Provide detailed inventory of vehicles in use – including photos, mileage, and maintenance logs
  • Schedule delivery service of new vehicles
  • Responsible for making sure vehicles are detailed, branded, and serviced, and photographed prior to issuance
  • Assist with disposal and trade ins of vehicles
  • Some travel maybe required
  • Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Big Iron
  • Prioritizes workload to ensure that all essential functions are addressed effectively, making appropriate adjustments throughout each shift and each work week to meet changing and/or competing priorities when necessary
  • Prepares for and actively participates in meetings, both on a departmental level and on a company level
  • Completes required training promptly. Self identifies areas where additional training is required and demonstrates understanding of the training content and implements training in day to day work activities.
  • Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality
  • Complies with BigIron policies and procedures as published by BigIron and which may be modified from time to time
  • Uses good judgement, discretion, and integrity to review, research and resolve issues. Considers all factors and takes appropriate action
  • Consistently uses strength, agility and good body mechanics when performing essential functions; develops, implements, and follows appropriate safety procedures of BigIron and/or community and regulatory agencies
  • Willingly completes other duties and takes on special projects as assigned or as necessary
    Required Qualifications/Skills:
    • Bachelor’s or associate degree, preferred, or a combination of education and work experience in inventory/transportation management
    • Database management experience, preferred
    • Always maintains valid Driver’s license and auto insurance
    • Software or equipment knowledge
    • Strong organizational and detail skills
