REQUIREMENTS:

Pass physical examination
Have or be able to obtain a CDL License
Pass bus drivers’ behind-the-wheel test
Must have a clean driving record
Be of good moral character, personable, and neat in appearance
Must be able to maintain discipline over a variety of groups of students
Must be able to exercise good judgment

REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor, Director of Student Services, Director of Technology and Maintenance, and Director of Business Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pick up and delivery of all students to and from their appropriate locations.

At the end of every route/run driver must walk through bus making certain no one is left on bus.  Driver may be asked to transport students with special needs (Special Education).  These needs may require taking care of additional disciplinary actions and monitoring of medical conditions.

Utilize and adhere to routes as scheduled, or as modified to meet family or District needs, by the Transportation Supervisor or by Edulog.

Drive other activities or routes to meet District needs.

Be able to maintain discipline over a variety of groups of students.

Be aware of and practice all safety regulations.

Complete pre-trip inspections on a daily basis.

Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of buses and smaller fleet vehicles.

Report maintenance and service issues related to buses and smaller fleet vehicles.

Insure readiness of buses and smaller fleet vehicles or next trip.

Assist maintenance department with snow removal tasks.

Other activities and duties as may from time to time be assigned.
