Columbus Delivery Driver Helps Resident in Need

October 30, 2018 Uncategorized

Delivery Driver Zach Hillmer and Night Shift Manager Jason Voss of Jimmy John’s of Columbus turned a misdialed call on a Saturday night into an opportunity to serve someone in need.

Greg Holeman, a Columbus resident and veteran, underwent a very serious surgery on October 17th. His sister traveled to Nebraska to take care of Holeman, and it was after she went back to Florida that she found out Holeman was in a lot of pain.

While she thought she was calling her brother’s social worker to get him help, she ended up dialing Jimmy John’s of Columbus. The story was relayed to Voss, the Manager at the time, and he decided to call his delivery driver Hilmer to see if he would be up to helping.

Hilmer, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, was privileged to help Holeman, and was able to get him to Columbus Community Hospital’s ER.
