Columbus Area Job Fair: May 17th
The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Nebraska Department of Labor is hosting a job fair on Wednesday, May 17 at the US 30 Center Mall in Columbus. The fair will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be an opportunity for job seekers to have instant access to multiple employers.
The community of Columbus is aggressively seeking new residents to fill the over 870 job openings posted in Platte County. “Columbus is a great option for people. We have opportunities for everyone, a new fitness center and hiking trails, progressive schools, a newer hospital with outstanding physicians in every practice, and a new health department. Our community is blooming into a family-friendly, economically stable place to live.” said Kara Asmus, workforce development coordinator at the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring a resume and to be prepared for an immediate interview. Resume assistance is available at the event through the Columbus Area Human Resources Association and at the Nebraska Dept of Labor-Columbus Career Center prior to the event for those who are unsure about how to prepare one.
Employers who are interested in a booth at the career fair can register at the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce. The cost is $120 and you must be intent on filling jobs in Columbus. All others will be denied.
